That has to be the most disrespectful thing you could ever do to an artist. Go ahead and talk **** about them, tell them they're the scum of the earth and whatever else your tumored brain can think of, but don't ever tell them they're not hip hop. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they're not hip hop. Just because they don't sound like 'this' or 'that' doesn't mean they're not hip hop, or 'real hip hop'. What the **** is real hip hop? How can hip hop be fake? Is there fake water? Fake Oxygen? Etc.? You see how dumb that sounds? That's how you sound when you talk about real hip hop.
What gives you the right to tell an artist that they're not hip hop?big brother myspace
when they really suck and display no hip-hop understanding, realness, and seem so commercial they reek of "just wanting to sell records" but hey, we ARE entitled to our own opinion, just like you are...

First of all, you don't know me, so you don't know what I call hip hop lol. Second of all calm down, I think you lettin this hit a little too close to home... unless... wait... are you a real rapper and did somebody tell you you're not hip hop?! LMAO
You never heard the expression 'The customer is always right?' The person telling someone they're not this or that is the customer, the person being told is selling themselves as something or another. If the customer doesn't want to buy it, that's the customer's right, and it's always the customer's right to state that they aren't buying it. Hip hop artists are no different than any other artist, or any business person selling something of arguable content. So get off this whole tired 'disrespecting' nonsense. People have had and always will have differing opinions of style, genre, any subjective matter of personal taste. So let the person you agree with have their opinion and disregard it if you disagree, and move on. There are far bgger things in life to get worked up over.
