i agree. i jumped off in about '93. i miss BDP, Eric B and Rakim, and Public Enemy most of all.
I agree. I hate the way the "crunk" people are all over TV it's irritating they're lyrics are so stupid it doesn't even relate to the song they just try to rhyme with random words %26gt;_%26lt;.

i love and i miss the old stuff too! i hate all this new junk thats out right now...its irritating, repetitive and just plain STUPID!
My favorite hip-hop/rap era was 1988-93, especially when hip-hop, hip-house, and freestyle were played side-by-side.
To me, after Biggie died, things haven't been the same since.

No offense, y'all a bunch of old heads reminicing on the past. Y'all can't see past y'all own generation. Hip Hop is good and well in the 21st century. Yeah sure there is a lot of mess on the radio but no real hip hop head listens to the radio. Its about the underground. There are plenty of good rappers out today. Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Fabolous, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Eminem, and Ludacris with their remarkable lyrical talent. Nas, Killer Mike, Outkast, Devin the Dude, The Game with their ability to tell stories like that of Slick Rick. Common, Talib Qweli, Mos Def, Little Brother, and the Roots with rhymes that provide food for thought. None of y'all can genuinely say that Hip hip today isn't good.
I think that in 2004 through 2006 the music was a whole lot better than what it is now i think it is just pointless now.
I did like the early years in hip hop they talk about real stuff. now they talk about shotting ppl, gettin head, and getting money
i like the hip-hop thats out now but only bcuz of the beats (the language...?) but i miss the 90's hip-hop they only talk bout violene, drugs and sex
I like the hip-hop now but the songs are a little more worse and nasty them songs back when I was a shorty (which was only a few years ago).

Hip hop now is so much better, i love it with all the new beats and sophisticated sound. The hip hop from the 90's was boring in my opinion.
