Just wondering what the people on here from the US think of hip hop from outside America. (Dizzee Rascal, Roots Manuva, Saian Supa Crew etc.)
Do you listen to much of it, or does it put you off if they don't have an American accent?

I Like it, but i Listeen to Kanye West, Common, Legend. People who don't curse alot.
I am from canada - but regularly listen to the UK music scene - it is much more diverse and allows more expression.
All of 'majot label' hip hop here is not that great.
You need to get to the underground - the mixtapes and shows.
But in the UK that's whats on the radio!
There's a pretty cool South African guy who's name I can't recall right now. Something like "Mancuso" perhaps. That is hip hop with a sort of African twist, but retains urban edge. He's from Soweto.
i like lilly allen, amy wine house, lady soviegn, and kaysha, largo.
i do not know of many other performers.
Manau... france
Fabri Fibra, club dogo ... italy
Parazitii, Bitza, Veritasaga,Zale... Romania
