put down a couple of what you think are "unwritten" rules of the rap/hip hop section....i'll start off

-we're all here to ask/answer questions, give our honest opinions on various topics pertaining to rap/hip hop...talk about ANY artist you want to, we're just giving our honest opinions..So say w/e you please about any artist EXCEPT for lil wayne..Tis when you say something negative about lil wayne, you're no longer giving your honest opinion, you're just being a "hater", but if you say anything about someone else, its just your opinion....go figure

-ask a dumb question, you'll get a dumb answer

-Don't pay Charlie Checkm' any attention. Whenever a random person makes a comment about him and it includes the link to his page...it's him in disguise.

-Don't pay attention to the people that post a question stating "rap is crap". The only people that should answer that question is those that agree with that statement, and those people are def not regulars here.

-Don't even think for a second that if you ask a long question involving a lot of reading, watching a video, or requesting a long response that ithug is going to do it. He doesn't feel like reading all them s hits, and he preciates you.

-We have to accept the fact that some people consider T-Pain and Akon rap/hip hop artists.

Blah blah all that....if you are asking or answering a question you dont need to get all crazy and talk about smacking up their kids because you dont agree with what they said.....

but in a battle them s hits is different...you can say whatever the hell you wanna...because that is what a battle is...cats flexing skills on whatever they do....lyrically killing it...

but answering questions should be kept civil people....its not that difficult...or is it...

and oh yeah lil wayne can never have s hit talked about him because that would make it true that he has skill? i dunno tried to come up with an answer but i cant...just like wayne smoked crack rap to rhyme better...these cats r smokin wayne j ock hopin to get some Scream Tour tixs...
Stop asking questions or giving comments on the "Hip Hop Is Dead" subject. That topic has been beaten to death.
1. If you don't like hip hop, don't post about how much you hate it. Get your attention elsewhere.

2. If you see a bunch of questions about something you are going to ask DONT ASK IT. (This problem was relevant this last month with the whole 50 vs Kanye thing)

3. Don't post questions asking people to "rate your freestyle" or requesting "ghostwriting" services. YOU ARE PLAYING YOURSELF.

4. Whenever there is a list of the best mc's of all time, Eminem is the most recent person that can be on it. If you list Dr. Dre and Eazy E as top MC's then you should be booted off this forum for not knowing what an MC is.

5. Stop posting about these latest dance crazes and what we hip hoppers think about them. THEY SUCK! Nuff said...

There is more but I am tired of typing.
Look around before you ask a question, when your thinking of making a " lil Wayne s da best rapper alive", or " who's better kanye or 50", type question, look around, it might have already been asked 20 times that day!

How can there be de facto rules to this section?

There is no extraneous rules except for the content guidelines imposed by Y/A. Therefore you silly little codes of conduct don't exist.

I believe those rules of yours are just ignorant opinions. So you don't need to lay down the law because you are not the law. Okay? Get Ya Mind Right.

There is an honest fact but there is no such thing as an "honest opinion"

Its impractical for an opinion to be relatively straightforward. It will always have bias or a slant. It will always be negative or positive. This bias is because of human nature. We each have different viewpoints on a topic. Therefore your "honest opinion" theory is completely ignorant and illogical.

Therefore you will not receive an "honest opinion". People who have dissenting opinions on Lil Wayne are not "haters" grow up and realize that it is an opinion. People have the right to an opinion. Just accept it and move on.

Those who question that "Hip Hop is Dead" that is their biased opinion. You have the choice to ignore it or debate it.

Complete ignorance. That is my opinion.

The questions pertaining to hip hop are slightly different than other questions such as math which is either a correct answer or a wrong answer. This section deals with a culture which generates many opinions rather than facts. Furthermore some questions can be answered with a fact. But primarily this section is consisted of biased answers.

HNIC you don't have any standing to impose petty rules on Y/A. You don't control the Hip Hop Section. There are no additional rules to the Hip Hop Section. First of all I don't have to follow your ignorant little rules. I abide by the guidelines set by Y/A not some random dude who got all up his rear.

Hip Hop Section is no different than any other section on Y/A. Just because its rap and people have a lot of polarized opinions on rap. I find this funny. Hip hop is notorious for the singers hating and putting each other down. Why should anyone commenting ON hip hop feel any hesitation to apply the same approach to their comments?

But then, I can't stand hip-hop (for the reason mentioned above, and the lack of any real musicality) so my opinion doesn't matter, does it?
